Aluminum die castings

AMT has manufactured high-precision, high-integrity aluminum die castings for the automotive and recreational vehicle industries for over 50 years. For the past 20 years, it has used high-vacuum technologies that deliver excellent mechanical properties, superior leak tightness, improved surface finish, and thin, weldable parts. AMT has also progressively converted all of its furnaces to hydroelectricity—a clean, renewable energy source that benefits melt quality and carbon footprint while keeping costs stable and predictable.

About 20% of all vehicles assembled in North America contain at least one part made by AMT. The company works mainly as a Tier 2 supplier on several high-volume programs for critical components, with applications ranging from engine oil and water pump castings to various transmission components and heat-treated, high-elongation brackets.

Test-and-measurement systems integrator for battery testing

The first demonstration highlights a medical-device battery test solution designed for button cell batteries. Using a custom-designed bed-of-nails fixture, the system simultaneously contacts multiple button cells to perform a pulse-load discharge test, providing critical insights into battery lifecycle performance. The second demonstration features a PXI-based battery cell quality test system, presented in the context of automotive battery testing. Designed specifically for nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery cells, it automates cell contacting with a pneumatic fixture, reads the cell’s barcode, and conducts a comprehensive set of electrochemical measurements. While the two methodologies are presented separately, they could be integrated into a single, comprehensive system to further enhance battery test efficiency and capability.

Lithium refining for EV and BESS

Chemshift is a lithium refining company based in Calgary, Canada, providing low-cost, high-impurity-tolerance North American refining capacity to both buyers and producers of lithium.

Buyers gain lower product prices, procurement flexibility, and greater security of supply, while producers increase lithium recovery through simplified flowsheets and reduced all-in costs.

Chemshift’s pilot and demonstration plant will be commissioned and produce its first lithium in Q1 2027. The company is attending the show to connect with buyers of lithium carbonate for EV and BESS applications and to begin qualifying its product as a feedstock in their supply chains.

Chemshift has been producing ultra-high-purity lithium carbonate for almost 12 months, and samples are available to interested parties for pre-qualification.
